- The plastic splint’s contoured S-shape corresponds
to the normal lumbar lordosis and thoracic kyphosis.- A vertical groove in the centre alleviates pressure
on the bony protrusions of the processus spinosus. - Two thin, shaped aluminium bars at each side of this groove provide support to the plastic splint. The splint has been fitted with extra-soft padding strips inside for additional comfort.
- The splint is covered in fabric so that it can be worn discretely.

- Each shoulder strap has a metal buckle with a roller system to make application easier for patients in all categories. Moreover, the ends of each strap with the removable Y-tab closure system taper outwards to prevent them from accidentally sliding through the rings.
- The back support has also extra features to help elderly persons with limited dexterity.
- The back bandage has wide finger pockets to fascilitate application.
- Extra finger loops have been attached at each end of the side pull straps to enable patients to grasp them more easily at the side of the body.
- These elastic side pull straps are applied in a V-shape at the back of the support bandage to keep the spinal splint as close to the body as possible.
